James Hallam has been established for over twenty years and
has developed through a mixture of organic growth and strategic acquisition.

Whilst our clients are spread across the UK, we took an early
decision to base the business around London. This enables a high
level of personal communication with staff and also provides each
of our offices with direct access into the City of London, home of
the largest and most diverse insurance market in the world.

Our independence is crucial to our clients. Our shareholders work
in the business on a full-time basis and, unlike a number of our competitors, we are not part of any network group which can
restrict choice. We place business with the most appropriate
insurer, subject to that insurer meeting our minimum financial
security requirements.

Whilst we are and will remain a general broker with the ability to
handle all of our clients requirements, we have also developed a
number of specialist areas of the business including Professional Indemnity, Technology, Media, Entertainment, Tour Operators &
Travel Agents and Fish Merchants.

We have also worked with our clients to create insurance schemes
for the benefit of their customers, members or employees, thereby
adding value to existing relationships and, where appropriate,
developing new or existing revenue streams.

We are big enough to achieve the best solutions for our clients
but small enough to care.
