As independent brokers, James Hallam has access to all of the leading
home insurers. We assess your requirements and select the insurer
who is most suited to meet these needs. Our detailed review will
establish which assets should be insured and will consider the
appropriate level of sum insured in order to avoid the dangers of
under-insurance. We will also discuss different excess levels in order
to obtain the most competitive pricing for you.

Some assets, such as antique furniture and various collections of
valuables can be separately identified and a lower premium rate
applied. Similarly rates for paintings are significantly below standard
contents rates.

Many of our clients have more than one home and we often arrange
cover on a global basis covering assets at each location or in transit.
This ensures that there is no gap in cover when contents are
transferred from one home to the other.

Special consideration is also required for listed or thatched properties
or other properties of non-standard construction and our Private Client
Team are able to assist you in establishing the correct basis of cover.
